Birth Date
This day is the beginning of my life. Therefore, I am very gracious and I cherish this day. I was born in a good family with loving parents. Not only that I had caring grandparents that took care of my everyday and an aunt that bought me everything. Even though I do not remember this day I can still picture the significant effect it has on me. If this day did not exist I would not have existed either. -
First Time In Canada
My trip to Canada was full of experiences . This was the first time I went on the monkey bars. However, I fell off and scaped my knee therefore, it resulted in my fear of monkey bars. Before I had short hair but after seeing that all the girls in Canada had long hair I started growing my hair. This even effected me up to date since I still have long hair. After this one month visit I went back to China without my parents and ended up living with my grandparents which changed my living style. -
Birth of My Cousin
This day is very significant to me because I am very close with my cousin. Also, I do not have any siblings so she is very dear to me. In addition, when she was born I was living with my grandparents and she was being taken care of by my grandparents too. Therefore, I lost all the attention had. This also showed me how much my aunt cared for me too because althougth she just had her own child she still took care of me everyday since my parents were in Canada. -
Moving to Canada
Moving to Canada changed my lifestyle. I reunited with my parents. This was very significant becasue being away from them for so long it felt really strange living with them. I did not even regconize them when they picked me up. However, due to moving to Canada me and my parents are very close now. Also, I felt really nervous living in a new country. I did not know how to speak English. Also, I was very sad because I really missed my reletives in China. -
Frist Day of School
The first day of school was never-wreaking for me sinceI did not speak English. However, I was lucky to get a teacher that spoke mandarian, the language I spoke. Therefore, my teacher helped me out a lot and this resulted in my fast paste learning of English. This allowed me to communicate with others and make new friends. It was also a bad experience since I was born far sighted and had to wear glasses in grade 1 when all the other kids did not. Therefore, I was made fun of a lot for this. -
First Vaction Back to China
This trip was very significant to me since in 2006 I did not speak Chinese anymore. Since I went back to China without my parents I had to choice but to start talking in Chinese. Although I had a lot of trouble doing this, it drastically improved my Chinese. Therefore, I value this trip since now I can speak fluent Chinese. If I did not go on this trip I would not be able to. Also, it helped me get more in touch with my culture and heritage. This can even be seen in the way that I act today. -
Getting My Cat
Getting a cat allowed me to get over my fears of cats. The reason I got my cat was becasue my mom friend's cat had kittens and they did not have anyone to give it to. Therefore, I decided to take her in. Getting my cat taught me responsibility. Beforegetting the cat my parents' rules were that I had to take 70% care of my cat. It is my job to give her a shower, clean her litter box and feed her. Doing this showed me that being responsible is not easy since I keep on forgeting to look after her. -
Moving to Richmond Hill
Moving to Richmond Hill was very exciting and scary for me becasue ever since I came to Canada I have only lived in Brampton. However, I was staisfied becasue I got to move to a bigger house. Also, I had to go to a new school and meet new people. I was very nervous about being the new kid but the people there were nice so I quickly made new friends. -
Grade 8 Graduation
Grade 8 graduation was very joyful for me. This was my first time winning an actual award. I got the history and english award which made my parents very proud becasue english was always my wrost subject and histoy involed a lot of english skills too. Of course I felt very accomplished as well. Also, the grade 8 graduation trip to Quebec City was my first time going on an over night trip. It was very fun exploring Quebec City and staying over night at the hotel with my friends. -
Trip to the East Coast
This trip was my first time going on vaction to a place that was not China. It was very special for me because my grandparents and my cousin came to Canada from China so we went on this trip as a family. This was my cousin's first time in Canada and she does not know how to speak English. Therefore, I showed her around on the trip and got to experience what it was like to take care of someone. In attition, I learned about Canada's east coast which was very different from what I expected.
