The Indus Valley civilization develops around the valley of the Indus River (now in Pakistan). Its trade was based on selling crops grown on the fertile river plains.

The place were most of the indus valley people lived was the gangentic plain. They lived there because this was the only part were they would not die if it was hot or cold. This plate was near the ganges river and thats why this was so fertile.
