    The run of the soldier from a battlefield near the town of Marathon, Greece, to Athens in 490 B.C. According to legend, the soldier ran the 25 miles to announce the defeat of the Persians to some Athenians.

    The Persian war started in 499 B.C and ended in 449 B.C.And during this war the Persians wanted to conquer all of Greece only conquering some and eventually lost the land they had conquered previously.

    Was a Greek philosopher and is known as the father of western philosophy.He would ask the locals a series of questions making them come to a realization of the things they had done.This was called the Socrates method.He taught Aristotle and Plato.

    The reason they fought this war was for the Delian League. This war was won by the Spartans.

    Plato was the student of Socrates.He did philosophy. He conveyed and expanded on the ideas and techniques of Socrates.

    Alexander The Great

    He was on of Aristotle's students.He only had 35000 men and no navy.He conquered most of Persia!Soon his army got tired and bored so they headed back to the capital.He died because he caught a fever at age 33.
