The Parthenon

The famous Heracles founded the Olympic Games in honour of his father, Zeus. They are held every fourth summer (Winter for us) since 776BC. Only males were allowed to compete and watch. In front of the colossal stadium, there was a huge man-made built statue of Zeus himself. -

The Trojan War was an ancient battle in which the Greek defeated the city of Troy. The Greeks were cunning and built a giant wooden horse for the city of Troy. The Greek boats were hiding elsewhere while the people of Troy took the horse into the city. However there was Greeks inside the horse, they popped out, opened the gates and let the other Greeks in. Therefore, defeating Troy. -

Pericles was the most famous for his ancient temple, the Parthenon. He was an elected person by the citizens of Athens. He ran the Athenian government for more than 30 years. -

Pythagoras was a very famous Greek mathematician. He was extremely important in mathematics and the people of Athens looked up to him.
