A turbulent period in which the Nile did not flood as largely as usual which caused crop decline. The Nile delta was captured by invaders until it was taken bake which lead to the beginning of the new kingdom. -

The most prosperous time in the ancient Egyptian era in which ambitious pharaohs expanded the empire as far north as the Euphrates river and as far south as Nubia. -

Queen Hatshepsut's Rule
Queen Hatsheput served as regent to Thutmose III and crowned herself pharaoh and encouraged trade with the eastern Mediterranean traders. -

Ramses II was known for his military prowess as he too expanded the empire outward and even created the first peace treaty in history with the warring Hittite state. -

Egypt's Decline to Nubia
The Nubian leaders sweep into Egypt and rule as pharaohs in their goal to restore Egyptian glory. They were driven out in 650 by the Assyrians and their iron weapons. -
