The first official empire in ancient China. They translated all scripts into one national language. They also created the first superhighway, which was 500 miles long, along the Ziwu mountain range, and started building the Great Wall of China. -

The Silk Road
Zhang Qian returned to china after 13 years with maps of what ground he had covered, which reached as far as Afghanistan. This lead to the international trade route, the Silk Road.
