it was the aquisition of the lousiana territory (828,000 square miles by Thomas Jeffreson from France. Even though it was no where written in the conts. that a president could purchase land no one really paid much attention nor cared so they just let it pass. This chunk of land also expanded the U.S. westward influencing manifestdestiny. -
Mexican-American War
It started after thr annexation of texas to the United States, so mexico took it as they stole it from them. It was also over the border from texas to mexico. In which Mexico wanted it to be from the Brazos River (or Nueces i dont remember) but the U.S> and Texas wanted it ti be from the Rio Grande. In the end the U.S. won and not only got the border to be the Rio grande but also won Mexican cession in which later on helps with the spread of Manifest destiny. -
Abrahams assasination
He was assasinated 5 days the confederate army surrendered and agreed to join the union once again. He was shot in the head by John Wilkes Booth. him not even knowing that he killed our best chance to reconstruction -

It was also about how the british gave guns and trained the native american to rebel against the americans so that they get their land back; for the british told them tnat they are being ;pushed off their land and they should fight back. -
