The Boston Massacre was when the British fired and killed people while being attacked by colonists. This act is important because it caused Americans to join the revolution and protest against the British.

The Boston Tea Party
In this event the Americans dressed up as Indians and went on the British ships and dumped 342 chests of tea into the harbor. This Act is Important because the Americans were finally standing up to the British and saying were done listening to your tax rules you don't control us.

The Battle of Brandywine
This was when General Howe went to Philadelphia to capture George Washington and the the Continental Congress in Philly. This is important because the British were able to drive Washington out of Philadelphia and sieze Philadelphia.

The Battle Of Saratoga
This battle was the first big American victory which General Horatio Gates lead. This was important because British losses were at 600 and American losses at 150. This was a big turning point in the war because the Americans were realizing they had a chance of winning the Revolutionary War.

Siege of Charlestown
The Siege of Charlestown was known as the worst American defeat in the revolutionary war. It was important because when the British won they got the Charleston port that helped them get supplies and food quicker.

The Battle of Camden
This event was a big British win, Horatio Gates lead an army to South Carolina to challenge Cornwallis. His men got very sick and illness spread rapidly when the Americans got to South Carolina the British fired and Horatio Gates and his men fled. This is important because Horatio Gates was so eager to prove himself that he made many tactical errors which lead to a British victory.
