Signing The Treaty of Paris
The ending of the French and Indian war. The Sugar Act
The first attempt to pay for defenses of colonies by British Government. In order to discourage smuggling and to encourage the production of British rum. Taxes were put on goods that were exported that passed through British and Britain customs. Townshend Revenue Act
Duties of tea, glass, lead, paper and paint for administration of colonies. These colonies were names after; Charles Townshend, and the Chancellor of the Exchequer. Boston Massacre
Colonists angry at the presence of British soldiers many colonists started to harass a group of soldiers that were guarding the customs house. Burning of the Gaspee

Tea act and Boston Tea Party
Trying to support the East Indian company parliament let them sell their tea directly to colonists. Colonists were angry because they saw it as taxing. Intolerable Acts
