Proclamation Of 1763

The Stamp Act
This act required Colonists to pay a tax on things like newspapers to pay off the British War dept. The Boston Massacre
There was an argument between the red coats and colonists. Someone yelled "fire" and a British soldier shot into the crowd of colonists. This started a shooting, injuring people. This was the event that led/started the Revolutionary war. The British were looking to take away the colonists weapons. At Fort Ticonderoga, the British lost their fort of over 100 connons to the americans. The Green Mountain Boys were led by Ethen Allen. This impacted the outcome of the war because this was the first offensive attack by the Americans. -

The American Patriots were beat at Bunker hill by the British army but prved they could hold on. The British suffered many casualties and only won because the Americans ran out of ammunition. Common Sense
A pamphlet written by Thomas Paine to the loyalists telling them how it was common sense to want to be independant from Britain. He argued it was not right for a large continent to be ruled by a small island far away. Battle at Trenton/Princeton
American victories at Trenton and Princeton were important because they gave the Americans some hope and strength about this war. After crossing the Delaware river, Washington and his army fought on Christmas day at Trenton. The British last attempt to try to win the war. They went south in the hopes of getting loyalists' to fight with them. Multiple battles, most of them being Brtish. Even though they won most south wars, the Charleston war to end in a surrender from the British and a peace treaty made in result to that. -

Battle at Yorktown
Washington sent spies to say they would ambush New York while they secreatly crept south to Virgina. His goal was to trap Cornwallis.The French Navy worked with Washington and stopped the British ships from giving support at Cheapstakes Bay. They fired back and forth until General Cornwallis surrendered.
