French and Indian War
It was the war between France and Great Britian which lead to Great Britian gaining Canada. The war ended up costing Great Britian alot of money and wanted the colonist to pay for it. They imposed high taxes on the colonist to make them pay for part of the war. -
Stamp Act
The stamp act said that everything printed or written must be done on paper with a stamp to prove that a tax has been paid. Marriage certificates, birth certificates, book and newspapers all need a stamp. -
Boston Massacre
Colonist came to attack british soilders who were gaurding a warehouse used to enforce tax laws. They blame eachother for who took the first shot and five colonists ended up dead. The americans thought the bristish was trying to kill and attack their soldiers which is a cause to the start of the war. -
Boston Tea Party
Colonist dressed as native americans and boarded ships in the harbor and dumped the tea overboard into the sea.The tea cost about 750000 dollars in today money. Pouring the tea overboard protested the tax that the British was putting on tea. -
Intolerable Acts
The Port of Boston closed until the tea was paid for. The Royal governer had the power to ban public meetings and other colonies worried that king george might do the same to them. -
Saratoga
The 2 battles of Saratoga were both major defeats and victories that led to the end of the American Revolution that were very costly. The Americans were defeated at first and later won victory in the second battle. This was a major turning point for the American Revolution. -

This was the last battle of the American Revolution. The colonist won the battle and defeated the British. This was the end of the American Revolution. -
Treaty Of Paris
This ended the war and gave the colonist peace and independence. It spread around the world to show other colonist to fight for what they want. -
The costitution
The constitution provides people with a strong government and sense freedom and democracy. It is important because it states our freedoms and the that everyone now has a say in their government. -
Bill of Rights
The bill of rights was written to protect the rights of the people. Its important because colonist fought hard for their rights and the bill of rights is giving them those rights as they should. -
Lexington and Concord
It was the first fight of the American Revolution. This set the stage for the rest of the Revolution. -
The Declaration of Independence
The rights given to the colonists to declare their independence. Colonist got their freedom and rights they wanted and deserved.
