It caused conflict because 5 colonists were killed after a street fight with British soldiers. It invoved snowballs and rocks. -
Tea Act
The Tea Act caused conflict because it was a big form of colonial resistance. The boycott involved large amounts of the population. It angered the colonists. -
Boston Tea Party
The colonists rebelled against taxes and dumped tons of tea off of ships into the harbor. They dressed as Indians while they did it. This was one of the main acts of resistance seen in history by the colonists. Neither side, the British or colonists, budged after the rbellion. Boston completely shut down Boston Harbor. -
1st Continental Congress
The 1st Continental Congress affected the American Revolution because it created a list of grievances against the British. The colonists wanted to repeal most acts by the British. The colonists called for military preparations. They planned on meeting again in a year to discuss their results. -
Intolerable Acts
The Intolerable Acts closed the port of Boston, allowed Britain to house troops anywhere they pleased, and allowed Britain to conquer more of America. This angered colonists and it also punished them for dumping all the tea in the harbor. It also reduced colonial government power.
