Bededict Arnold and the so called "Green Moutain boys" attacked the fort, taking the british by suprise and captured the fort. -

They decided the prevous time that they would meet again the prevous time is the british didn't address their complaints, however they where not ready for a complete split from britian. -
the Battle of Bunker Hill
20,000 milita men surrounded boston and fought the british, and the british won. -
The Declaration of Independence
Declared that the United States of America were their own nation.
