Treaty of Paris
The 7 year war ended and Britain gained all territory east of the Mississippi river. -
Sugar Act
Colonial exports, such as iron, lumber and other goods, had to pass through British customs first. -
Stamp Act
This Act made it where all legal documents must contain a stamp, on which a tax was placed. -
Quatering Act
Colonies were required to pay for supplies for Birtish soldiers. -
Declaratory Act
The Stamp Act was revised, but it was declared that the Parliament does have the right to tax. -
Boston Massacre
A crowd was harrasing a group of soldiers when one was hit with a snowball and fired his gun. -
Tea Act
Paliament would no longer allow import on tea, but allowed for the compnay to sell to the colonies. -
Boston Tea Party
In rebellion to the tea act, Americans dump East Indian Company tea into the Boston Harbour. -
Intolerable Acts
Parliament took away Massachusets self government. Colonist protested by boycotting British goods. -
