French & Indian War
A war between France, Britain and the Indians from North America. The Indians fought for their land that the colonist tried to claim. -
Proclomation of 1763
It forbids any type of settlement along the Appalachian Mountains. -
Sugar Act
It was supposed to help lower taxes but in exchange for stricter rules they also raised the revenue. -
Stamp Act
Colonist had to pay taxes to maintain British soldiers in the colonies. -
Quartering Act
It was an act that Soldiers took advantage of. It gave soldiers permission to go into houses and do whatever they want. They were also able to stay and sleep there. -
The Boston Massacre
It was a fight between Patriots and British soldiers. It was a small conflict but soon became bigger since several colonist were killed. Colonist and Britain already had conflict but because of this incident it helped untie colonies. -
Battle of Lexington and Concord
First Battle, It happened because the British commander of Boston had heard that Lexington & Concord had been hiding supplies and powder. -
Tea Act
Colonist had to pay more taxes because of a British East India company. -
The Boston Tea Party
A crowd of disguised Indians dumped lots of crates filled with British Tea into the harbor. This also leads to the Intolerable Acts. -
Intolerable Acts
It was a way to punish Massachusetts colonist for their disobedience (Dumped a large tea shipment into Boston harbor). -
