  • Sugar Act

    Colonists had to pay big fees on imports on molasses for the British to take better control of what was happening.

  • Stamp Act

    The British taxed everything the to due with paper that the colonists had. Which led to the colonists getting mad

  • Quartering Act

    Colonists needed to provide housing for British soldiers and provide them with food if needed. Also some British soldiers harassed colonists.

  • Boston Tea Party

    A group of patriots went to a British import ship and dumped all the tea. Tea was worth a lot a stirred up lots of anger towards the British.

  • Battles of Lexington and Concord

    First battles between the British red coats and the minutemen. Were warned by Paul Revere.

  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Was the first major battle for the fight of independence. Americans won fight due to how much more casualties the red coats lost.

  • Declaration of Independence

    Continental Congress issues the DoI. Officially parting ways with British and starting their own government for the 13 states.

  • British Surrender

    Led by Washington they seize Cornwallis in Yorktown and the British surrender.

  • Treaty of Paris

    Formally ending the revolution. British and Americas are at peace but still with some tension.
