    The french and indian war, also known as the 7 years war, started when george washington, who was in the british army at the time, defeated a small reconasiance party of french soildiers and their indian allies. After several battles, the french and indian war officially began and became one of the main causes of the revolution.

    The Proclamation act of 1763 was issued by King George III. I denied settlers the rights to expand beyond the Appalachian mountains after winning French territory from the 7 years war.
