Lincoln Assassination
On April 14, 1865, John Wilkes Booth, a famous actor and Confederate sympathizer, fatally shot President Abraham Lincoln at a play at Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C. The attack came only five days after Confederate General Robert E. Lee surrendered his massive army at Appomattox Court House, Virginia, effectively ending the American Civil War. -

The 18th Amendment prohibits the sale of alcohol in the United States. Moral driven society passes legislation banning alcohol sales and production. Many people are outraged. Even President FDR was known to enjoy a dirty martini. -

September 1, 1939 began the german invasion of Poland and thus the beginning of WWII. The Zazi Germans sought world domination. WWII saw the United States become a world power successfully ending the war. The United States' use of nuclear bombs against Japan opened up an entirely new era in weaponsry usage. -
Korean War
The Korean War began on June 25, 1950, when communist North Korea invaded South Korea. Almost immediately, the United States secured a resolution from the United Nations calling for the military defense of South Korea against the North Korean aggression. In a matter of days, U.S. land, air, and sea forces had joined the battle
