More than 3.2 million people are unemployed in the nation which is up from 1.5 million in October. People were losing theor jobs due to the Great Depression and there was no way they could be paid and no reason for people to be working. -

In order to collect their bonus pay for being in the service, 15,000-25,000 WWI veterans gather and begin to set up encampments near the White House and the Capitol in Washington, D.C. On June 15. However, the bill fell to defeat in the Senate, 62 to 18. Still, the veterans maintained their determination to stay camped out until they were to get their pay. -
Neutrality Acts
passed by the United States Congress in the 1930s, in response to the growing turmoil in Europe and Asia that eventually led to World War II. They were sought to ensure that the US would not become entangled again in foreign conflicts. -
