    Confederate Army runs short of supplies and is forced to surrender to the pursuing Union Army. They had no food or water and lay down their arms, utimately ending the Civil War.

    America stumbles into a era of economic growth. 14th, 15th, and 16th Ammendmant passed. KKK exists everywhere along with Carpetbaggers and Scaliwags.
  • The Industrial Revolution

    The Industrial Revolution
    America begins using machines and electricity to do a worker's job. Also steel is now able to be cheaply mass produced. America can begin to construct large skyscrapers.
  • The Acquisition of Hawaii

    The Acquisition of Hawaii
    Hawaii was run by a monarch queen and their sugar growers were offered generous ammounts of money to grow and trade their sugar with America. The U.S. senate passed a law rasing the rates of tax on foreign sugar growers making Hawaii a poverty-strikcen territory, Soon the Hawaiian growers asked the american military for help and marines stormed Honolulu and forced the queen to abdicate and then later Hawaii was made a state.
  • The Spanish American War

    The Spanish American War
    America declares war on Spain when they occupied Cuba. Cubans began revolting, and then American journalists began using "yellow journalism" to criticize Spanish rule in CUba, and then people in America forced the government into a war it didn't want to be in in the first place.
  • The Panama Canal

    The Panama Canal
    The Panama Canal made transportation by ship on the Western shores of Amerca take much less time. It is a canal straight through Panama. It was constructed so that ships wouldn't have to go a the way around South America from California. The French started the canal and the U.S. finished it.
  • World War I

    World War I
    America is forced into assisting the allies against the Central Powers which mainly were Germany and Poland. America was given word from Brittain that Germany wanted Mexico to wage war on the U.S., and then the U.S. was now entered into WWI. The date that France was first attacked was 1870, Trench wawrfare began in 1890 aong with tanks, gas, artillery, and machine gun nests. In 1916 U-Boats were constructed.
  • Prohibition

    Prohibition
    The 18th Amendment is passed in the U.S. prohibiting the manufacture, sale, and consumption of alchoholic beverages. Quickly following this were people smuggling alchohol for bars and mafias. People called bootleggers and rumrunners smuggled illegally made alchohol for gangs that then sold the alchohol for an expensive profit. The 21st Amendment repealed the 18th Amendment on December 5th, 1933.
  • The Great Depression

    The Great Depression
    The stock market crashes leaving 25% of America's population unemployed. People loose their money when the stock market collapses. All stocks took a sudden decline in value and everyone, rich and poor, lost their money. The loss of money in the U.S. led to other countries losing money as well because they depended on American funds to help their economy which is how HItler took control of Germany because of the weak economy and unemployment.

    World War II
    The Allies were in a global battle against the Axis. The Axis was Germany, Japan, and Italy. The Allies had the United Stated, Great Brittain, and The Soviet Union (Russia). America joined the war on 1941 when Pearl Harbor. The battles created new techniqes of war with new technology such as the T-34 Tank, the Atomic Bomb, Aircraft Carriers, The Spitfire Mark I bomber, SONAR, U-Boats, Napalm, and C2 (the grandfather of C4).
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor
    Japanese planes attacked Pearl Harbor, located in Hawaii. Many aircraft were destroyed along with ships and soldiers. Over 3,000 soldiers were killed or wounded in the bombing and much of Hawaii's naval equipment was destroyed. This led to America's entry into World War II.

    The Cold War
    The United States and the Soviet Union (USSR) are both global superpowers and are in a state of political tension and are on the verge of war. The US and USSR had just come out of World War II and have been very close to war on multiple occasions. The US and USSR eventually signed the INF Treaty making a treaty between the Soviet Union and the United States.
  • Korean War

    Korean War
    A war between North Korea, aided by the Chinese and the Soviets, and South Korea, aided by the UN. The UN along with South Korean forces pushed North Koreans almost back to the Yalu River, then Chinese forces forced UN forces back to the 38th Parallel. Later an armistice mas signed and the 38th Parallel became a Demilitrized Zone (DMZ).
  • Vietnam War

    Vietnam War
    A war between North Vietnam, aided by the Viet Cong, and South Vietnam, aided by the UN. Viet Cong wanted to reunite Vietnam with Communism but Southern Vietnam and the UN did'nt want communism to spread. South Korea with the UN emerged victorious.
  • The Gulf War

    The Gulf War
    The UN declared war on Saddam Husain and his Iraqi government. They freed the Iraqi civilians and liberated the government of military corruption. While Saddam's army fled the UN, they lit oil rigs on fire as a distraction but it failed and Saddam was executed.
  • 9/11

    9/11
    Al Qaeda suicide bombs the United Trade Center, bringing down both towers and killing many American civilians. Also the Pentagon was bombed and that started the war against Terrorism.
  • Operation Enduring Freedom

    Operation Enduring Freedom
    America declares war on terrorists in Afghanistan. Taliban and Al Qaeda forces are attacked and MAerican forces begin to overwhelm the terrorist forces.
  • Invasion of Iraq

    Invasion of Iraq
    America, the UK, Australia, and Poland invaded Iraq in an attempt to rid Iraq of Saddam Hussein and of weapons of mass destruction. They liberate most of Iraq and save their people.
