My Parent's Childhood
At the time in 1975, my parents were 7-8 and were living in the town of Saigon in Vietnam. Both were attending school there and education wasn't as much of a priority as it is now. However, it was still necessary to give them a boost. -

Parent's Teenage Years
By the time my parents were 13 they were out adn working in Vietnam. They worked for small businesses in the area and sold many different goods on the streets for money. A job was really important by the teen years. -
In America
By 1987 my parents have been here for a year. Their American Dream was to eventually earn enough money to find a nice house and get a car or two. They didn't have an extensive education whatsoever so jobs were limted. At first the whole family lived in an apartment and by 1989 ,when the family had enough money, we bought a house in Skokie. My parents have worked hard in factories, restuarants and various retail stores to earn enough money for a house. They also had moeny for a new car. -

Beginning of my Education
I started prechool when I was 4 years old. It is mandatory that kids attend school once kindergarten started, but I had a head start by going to preschool. Education to my parents is the most important aspect of living the American Dream -
Graduation of 8th Grade
Finished my 8th grade year. About half way done! -
Today
I'm working hard in high school in order to get iinto one of the schools on my list. ACT is also an important test to do well on. College applicaiton start in the fall. -
High School Graduation
After graduatiing Niles West I want to go to the University of Illinois at Champaign, U of Iowa, U of Indiana and the list goes on. Ideally I want to stay in state or a brodering state. I want to study in a business related field but my options are open. -
Graduate from College
In 2017 I hope to have goone to a school on my list. That includes University of Illinois at Champisgn-Urbana, University of Iowa, Indiana, Marquette, UIC and the list goes on. I'll be searching for a career in the business field like an accountant, finaniclal advisor or business operations. -
My American Dream
By now I should be done with my education and living in a nice apartment some where in Chicago. I want to work downtown and either drive or take the CTA. Hopefully my job is decent and I'll be making enough to support my family. The economy should hopefully be better than it is now. My American Dream now is to invest my money and try too keep my wealth for decades to come.
