The Europeans wanted land in America. They pushed back the Native Americans to get the land, and formed colonies. -
America's Freedom
America got freedom from Brititain . 50 men came together and declared that the 13 colonies where free and indipendant states. -
Revolutionay war
The colonies formed the Continental Army and fought the British army and navy. The war lasted for 6 long years ,and we won that big war . -
Our capital was burned
The Britiash wanted their land back and had an epic fail ! Whale in the process burnt down the white house . -
Civil War
The war lasted over 4 years and over 1.2 million people died . The north and the south faught agenst each other . -
Transcontinental Railroad
It linked the East Coast and the West Coast together .
People can travel faster acrost then country . -
World War l
America tried to stay out of World War I ,but when Germany bombed one of our ships and we got involved. More than 37 million people died or where wounded. Germany lost that war. -
Great Depression
Over 1,000 people lost there jobs ,and began to lose money . The government formed programs to help people during this time . Social Secruity is one of these programs. -
World War II
Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and that's how we got involved in World War II. More people died in that war than any other war in American history. -
Cold War
Soviet Union whanted Communism to spread to other countries ,and we didnt want that so we had a Cold War. It lasted for more than forty years. -
New Tecnology to the World
Americans made some of the most high/tech computers ,and a new invention t.v. This new tecnology would change the world!
