birth-day
Born In Wuxi, China. Life was not bad in Wuxi but there were not many jobs. There also was alot of poverdy in China at the time. Most of china was thinking of going to America eventually. Although many Chinese did go to America mothers and children most likley stayed in China so they could recieve money from the fathers in American. unlike me, I went with my father to America. we left because we needed money. the only way we could make alot of money is if we went to california and mined for gold -

My Life
life was easy in Wuxi until we were spending money more than we realized. As we did that we had to start taking loans and we found we couldnt pay them back.we have never been in dept before. we were all talking and we thought, to get all of our money payed back and get us out of dept we need to go to america and mine for gold. So we made the decision for me and father to go to america. -
Leaving China
I am at the port of Wuxi China and its time for me and father to leave. It was tough saying goodbye to mother but we did it. as we seen the ship we thought "here we go a new life in America". we got on the ship and it was very crowded. We had very little room to move around. It took about three weeks to get to America. When we first seen land (Angel island) we were stunned we had thought it was really cool knowing that we are going to the land of oppertunities -
Angel island
the first thing we did as we got on Angel Island was a Doctors exam. we were checked over to see if we had any diseses. my father had something the doctors never seen before so they wanted to keep him on the Island for 24 hours just to make sure he was ok. I wasnt gonna leave him here so we waited. Off and on the doctors checked on him -
First Steps
turns out father just had a 24 hour bug. he must have gotten it from someone on the ship. We now had permission to leave Angel Island And go in to the city. Our first steps in the city were weird. it was different than life in Wuxi. This city was way more busy. So much noise. In China it was a lot more calm and quiet. -
The New Life
after we got setteled in San Fransisco we noticed that we were looked at weird. everyone either laughed or got angry with us. what was happening. why were we the ones to get bullied by the people in the one place we needed to be right now, America. the more i think about it, our green cards are more like first class ticket to a one way flight to hell. but we were fucused on a mission. to earn enough money to get mother out of dept.
