The FAA is the Federal Aviation Administration, which was made to regulate civil aviation and surrounding international waters. -
EBA
The EBA is is the Emergency Banking Act, which prevents future bank runs, and massive money pull outs. -
FCA
The Farmer Credit Act was made so that farmers could refinance mortgages for a longer time at lower rates, which helped them manage the debt. -
CCC
The CCC is the Civilian Conservation Corps and it was founded by Franklin Roosevelt. The CCC was a work relief program that gave young men work. The young men had to be 17-28 and unmarried. -
AAA
The AAA stands for Agriculture Adjustment Act which gave farmers subsidies in exchange for limiting production of certain crops. -
TVA
The TVA was the Tennessee Valley Authority act, which was made to provide navigation, flood control, electricity, fertilizer manufacturing, and economic development. -
FDIC
The FDIC is the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation which was made to prevent bank failure in the future. The FDIC insures deposits in the banks. The FDIC was made so people would start to trust banks and so that they would not fail. -
NRA
The NRA was the National Recovery Administration, and its purpose was to "eliminate the cut throat competition" and sought to bring labor, industry, and government together to create agreeable laws and prices. -
PWA
The PWA is the Public Works Administration and it was made to create large scale public work for mass employment, and to revive the economy. -
CWA
The CWA is the Civil Works Administration, which was a temporary job creation program which was intended to create more manual labor jobs rapidly. The jobs were only temporary though. It was disbanded just months after creation in March of 1934. -
SEC
The SEC is the securities and exchange commission which was made to help the investors gain confidence in the stock market and the system again, and it was made to make sure the dealings are fair, with orderly and efficient markets. -

The FCC is the Federal Communications Commission which was made to regulate interstate and international communications using radio, television, satellite, wire and cable. -
WPA
The WPA was the Works Progress Administration and it gave jobs to men and they would work on public projects, such as building roads, and buildings. -
SSA
The Social Security Act was made to protect the welfare of people and to help those who need it. It provided old-age benefits for workers, benefits for victims of industrial accidents, unemployment insurance, aid for dependent mothers and children, the blind, and the physically handicapped -
USHA
The United State Housing Authority is an act that gave states and communities money for low- cost construction to build houses and buildings for people.
