1. Religous and Political Freedom
The Congress can make no law disrespecting a religion that stops you from practicing your religion. The government cannot take your freedom of speech or press away. -
2. Right to Bear Arms
If there is a good militia and the security of the state is good your right to have weapons cannot be disrupted. -
3. Quartering Troops
Soldiers cannot be quartered in houses unless there is a requirement because of war or there is a change in the constitution. -
4. Search and Seizure
The people’s rights to be safe in their own home cannot be taken away. When searching there has to be a warrant to enter the house. -
5. Rights of Accused Persons
You cannot be held to answer for a crime unless called by the Grand Jury. Expectations include war. But you cannot be a witness for yourself. -
6. Right to Speed, Public Trial
In all crimes the accused person will have a public court hearing where the accused can be confronted by the witness. Counseling will be the defense of the accused. -
7. Trial by Jury in Civil Cases
In common law, if your crime is over $20 then you will not be tried by a Jury. But you will be examined again in another court house. -
8. Limits of Fines and Punishments
In jail, to pay for bail you are not required for excessive payment. You also can not have cruel or unusual punishments inflicted. -
9. Rights of People
Certain rights of the constitution cannot be construed or retained by the people for the people. -
10. Powers of States and People
The states have individual laws that do not apply for the entire United States. -
11. Lawsuits Against States
A citizen of the U.S cannot sue a state if the person is not living in that state. This amendment also applies to other foreign countries. -
12. Elections of Executives
All electoral colleges have to cast a different ballot for the vice president and president. But, the two candidates cannot live in the same state. -
13. Slavery is Abolished
Slavery is outlawed by the Constitution, unless a crime requires you by Jury to work. -
14. Civil Rights
People born in the U.S are U.S.A citizens. No state can take away the rights, property or liberty of any person no matter of the race, gender, or color. -
15. Right to Vote
Voting is for everyone and there are no exclusions no matter of the race, gender or color. The congress must enforce this amendment. -
16. Income Tax
The congress can make any type of tax as long as the states have a census on the new tax. -
17. Direct Election of Senators
The senators for each state are two but the senators must be elected by the people. The senators rule for six years. This amendment cannot be taken away. -
18. Prohibition
The right of using, selling, or shipping liquor is illegal. Many powerful gangs however broke this law and illegally sold alcholic beverages. -
19. Woman Suffrage
Your sex in the United States cannot block you from voting. The congress has to enforce this amendment. -
20. "Lame Duck" Sessions
The final date for the end of a president’s term is to end on January 20th. If the president is to die during the terms then the vice president is then moved to president. But this article is not in use until it is ratified to be an amendment. -
21. Repeal of Prohibition
The 18th Amendment is now repealed. You can now sell, drink, or ship alcoholic beverages. This amendment can't be changed unless separately by individual states. -
22. Limit on Presidential Terms
A candidate for president can be elected for two terms or 8 years. This amendment does not apply for the current president in charge. But this amendment will not stop anyone from running for president. -
23. Voting in District of Columbia
The number of presidents and vice presidents cannot exceed more people than the amount of senators and representatives. All of these people must meet to discuss the duties the U.S has. -
24. Abolition of Poll Taxes
U.S citizens will and can’t be stopped from voting for president or vice president. There will be no tax you have to pay to vote. -
25. Presidential Disability, Succession
If the president is to die, resign, or be impeached the vice president will be moved up to president. If there is an absence of the House of Representatives the vice president is to find a replacement. -
26. 18-year-old Vote
No one younger than the age of 18 can vote. Only 18 years and older are eligible to vote. -
27. Congressional Pay
No law that affects services of the senators and representatives can take effect until there is an re-election of representatives.
