Alexander crosses the Hellespont into Anatolia.
His goal was to defeat King Darius III (King of Persian Empire) and conquer the Persian Empire. Alexander the Great quickly won the battle of the Granicus. -

Alexander fights Darius at Issus.
Alexander won the fight but Darius fled before he got killed. But Alexander kidnapped Darius's wife and children. -

Battle of Gaugamela
Alexander the Great conquered Egypt. He founded the city of Alexandria and was proclaimed the son of the god Zeus-Ammon. -

After Conquering Persian Empire
After the Persian Empire was conquered Alexander went east. He founded many cities and named them all Alexandria after him. The most famous one is in Egypt. He kept going until he got to India.
He treated the people he conquered with respect and allowed them to keep their customs. He himself adopted some of them. He married a persian women named Roxanne. -

Alexander the Great's Death
Alexander the great died when he was 32 years old.He died on his way back to Greece. He may have died by sickness or poison
