Ramzi Yousef used a truck bomb that was intended to break the foundation of the first tower of the World trade Center in New York City and hopefully knock down the second one, leaving the entire complex destroyed. He hoped that 250,000 people would be killed in the bombing. However, the foundation of the towers was strong and the towers did not collapse. But did manage to kill six people in the process. -

four airplanes are hijacked by Al Qaida. Two of them are crashed into both trade towers and one into the Paragon. The fourth plane was over taken by the passangers and manage to disrupt its path for distruction, however the plane crashed. over 3000 people were murdered. -

U.S. and Iraq forces killed Abu Ayyub Al-Masri in a targeted missiles attack in his safe house. Abu Ayub Al-Masri was a succesor of past iraqi Al Qaida. -
Bin Laden is killed.
U.S. forces killed Osama Bin Laden. He was killed along with his son and three others. The U.S. took custody of 100 hard drives, five computers, and a journal handwritten by Osama Bin Laden.
