    The area of the current Ugandans is mainly flat with some mountains surrounding it. The oldest known entry to this area is known as the Bantu Expansion. The Bantu expansion occurred Jan 1, 3022 bce. This expansion brought hunter-gatherer-like activities and trading. Trading was the largest part of the Bantu expansion because of the benefits that everyone received. After twenty years the Bantu expansion slowly came to a stop.

    In the area of Djibouti, in 2500 bce, its landscape is very diverse and can be used for many things. The land of punt located in what is now Djibouti was a civilization that was large on trading. The main other civilization that they traded with was the Ancient Egyptian civilization. They also had lots of time to trade with people that are far away or everseas. They were very rich and had lots of wealth because of their trading.

    The area of Somalia is very flat but good for trading. The Macrobians were a tribal kingdom in the area of Somalia and they were known for their long livespans. The average person from the macrobian kingdom lived to be 120 or older. The Macrobians were very rich from trading that they were able to last for a long time without war. They were very friendly and helped the nearby peoples.

    East Africa was known for their trade networks. Maritime Silk Roads was one of their famous routes. The silk road was over 2000 years old. This road was located in the desert and was used to trade things like timber, gold, and elephant tusks. The most important was sesame seeds and were very valuable and expensive. This route was founded in the 2nd century and still to this day is occasionally used. General Zhang Quian found this route in the 2nd century.

This is important because Ethiopia still has a majority of christians. Religion can be based on the way they rule their state. Religion is a very important part of a state. A religion can affect the way we live our lives and make decisions. Ethiopia was one of the first countries in east Africa and still is the majority christians

    Bantu speech communities didn't just have a new language. They also were introduced to new life styles. The Bantu explosion stands for the concurrent dispersal of Bantu languages.During the initial migration across most of central and eastern, that took place about 5,000 and 1,500 years ago. With a new lifestyle their technology changed too. So things such as pottery making, and large stone tools were deeply affected. Another thing that took an important role is farming and metallguary.

    There were many successful immigrations into Rwanda starting in the 1100s. As this went on, small kingdoms began forming within the country. The kingdoms started forming bigger kingdoms. These kingdoms started falling off and then created one central kingdom. This central kingdom was ruled by king Mwami. The central kingdom was the Kingdom of Rwanda.This kingdom was not the only kingdom in existence but was considered the higher power and had control over the smaller kingdoms within Rwanda.

    Within Tanzania, there was an island called Kilwa that was ruled as a sultanate. This sultanate was ruled and founded by Ali ibn al-Hassan Shiraz. The sultanate of Kilwa island had control over all of the Swahili coast. With this power, they had attacked and conquered the rival nation of Sofala under the rule of Suleiman Hassan at the time. This war between them started in 1178. The rule of the Hassan family lasted all the way until 1277 before being taken over by Abu Moaheb’s family.

    The clans within Rwanda were made up of three ethnic groups called Hutu, Tutsi, and Twa. These clans started getting a more rigid structure surrounding the clan leaders. The clan leader hierarchy was made into something that is based on inheriting the position, instead of fighting for it or anyone being able to become the clan leader. This inheritance system made control of the clans much easier and controlled without chaos breaking out whenever a new leader was required to be found.

    East Africa began in the 15 century when Vasco Da Gama arrived in mombasa in 1498. Vasco da gama was a portuguese explorer who founded East Africa. He realized the importance of east africa for trade networks. He also found out he could make a lot of money growing the trade routes. There was only one way to go through and it was maritime silk roads. Vasco da gama also traveled all around the world from more routes. From Asia to europe.
