Artificial Intelligence
Philosophers Descartes, Hobbes, and Leibniz searched to find an understanding of the rational thought. This led Leibniz to explore the possibility of universal language of reasoning -
Emerging of Electronics
Adding to Artificial Intelligence, there was neurological research done that showed the brain itself was a network of cells exchanging electrical signals. -
World War II
World War II ended up giving a huge step up with Artificial Intelligence. Without the help and knowledge of England's Bletchley Park and Alan Turing the war could have lasted a lot longer than it did. This sprouted the research into Computing Machinery and Intelligence. -
Artificial Intelligence Coming to Life/ Moore's Law
The term ended up being invented at a conference in Dartmouth. After many trails and errors, AI had a major success. Moore's law came into place and he projected that doubling would happen each year for a decade. Then came back in about 1975 and said that doubling would happen about once every two years -

Modern Day Smartphones
The brains behind the modern day phones are insane. As USwitch describes it "Modern-day smartphones are pretty unrecognizable from the analogue bricks we used to cart around". They have an AI within it called "Siri" and can even go under water. -
Far and Beyond
I predict our phones will end up looking like the one in the picture. We will eventually get to a point where there are holograms and using them throughout our day to day lives.
