  • French and Indian war

    French and Indian war
    The French and Indian war is about British colonies going against French colonies along side Native American tribes, because the French were interested in the Ohio river for travel to Louisiana, and the British were interested in the Ohio river for trade and land.
    Colonists reactions to the war were supportive as many American colonies had helped in the battles.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    The Sugar Act was about the British putting taxes on imported goods such as Tea, Sugar, Coffee and more.
    Colonists reactions to this Act were upsetting as many people, especially Americans thought the taxing was unfair and even smuggled goods to bypass the taxation.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act was about Taxation on most printed materials, such as newspaper and mail.
    Colonists were even more reasonably upset about this, especially how it targeted Government and Newspaper workers.
  • Declatory Act

    Declatory Act
    The Declatory Act was about how American colonists were upset with the Taxation regarding the Stamp and Sugar act.
  • Townshed Act

    Townshed Act
    The Townshed Act is about the Taxation of goods such as Tea.
    Colonists were outraged about this Act and fought against it.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    The Tea Act is about how the British taxed Tea, offering Tax exemptions and rebates for tea from a British east Tea company that would then dump cheap tea on colonists.
    Colonists were upset over this because it cut into profits of Tea merchants and because Tea was so universally important, it was crazy that they could seemingly tax whatever they please.
  • Start of the Revolutionary War

    Start of the Revolutionary War
    The Start of the Revolutionary War is about how American colonists fought against the intolerable acts set by the British. The intolerable acts basically took power from Massachusetts, Forced colonists to let British troops stay in their homes whenever they please, and grew Quebecs boarder.
    Colonists were displeased with these acts, to then Massachusetts followed by almost all of the other 13 colonies by disobeying the acts, not paying taxes, and preparing for war.
