Johannes Kepler's Law of Planetary Motion
Kepler’s Law of Planetary Motion:
-The planets move around the sun in an ellipse motion.
-Planets have their own different way of moving around the sun.
-Planets have their own time periods because of the different distances between the planet and the sun. -
Rene Descartes' Scientific Method Advancement
It was discovered by Renee Descartes, who was a philosopher that converted unsolvable problems in geometry to simpler problems in algebra
The Scientific Method was firstly used by Aristotle with different techniques, but was later changed by Rene Descartes. -
Universal Gravitation's Discovery
Isaac Newton discovers universal gravitation, which is the power of attraction between things. He stated that objects continue to move in a state of constant velocity, which can be zero, unless acted upon by an external force. -

He discovered positive and negative electric charges through a series of experiments that proved that electric charge is rather transferred from one object to another. -

Adoption of the Declaration of Independence
In this declaration, the Second Continental Congress proclaimed the 13 colonies as independent. -
Surrender of Yorktown
When the British commander (Lieutenant General Lord Cornwallis) realized that he did not have a chance to win against the Franco-American army, he tried to escape. At the end he accepted the terms of surrender. -
Signature of the Treaty of Paris
The American Revolution formally ended with the Treaty of Paris which was signed on September 3, 1783. -

King Louis XVI's Reign
Louis XVI was the last Bourbon king. When he was announced king he was immature and lacked self-confidence. He focused on religious uniformity and foreign policy on his first years. By 1789, situations on France and his government were worsening, and he was forced to recognize the National Assembly's authority. On July 14, riots broke out in Paris and crowds stormed the Bastille prison in a show of defiance toward the King. -
Napoleon Rises to Power
Napoleon was a dictator and lead his formal and loyal army towards combat and managed to conquer a big part of the northern region of Europe. He is considered an icon of power within the French folk. He rejoins his regiment in June 1793 and he quickly showed his strong support for the Jacobins. When Robespierre is executed, he saves the government from counter-revolutionary forces. For his efforts, Napoleon was soon named commander of the Army of the Interior. -

Reign of Terror: Time during the French Revolution in which the government decided to take harsh measures against people that seemed to be enemies or a threat to the country.
One of the main characters in this event was Maximilien Robespierre, He was a radical Jacobin leader. He took a public role, calling for political change in the French monarchy and became widely popular amongst the people for his ideals. -
Peace of Amiens
This was a pact established in the year 1802, with the purpose of avoiding any conflict between Britain and France. -

Treaty of Chaumont
A treaty was created within the 4 Eurpoean powers that managed to defeat Napoleon: Britain, Austria, Prussia, Russia. They agreed a 20 years alliance with the french dictator. -
Waterloo Battle
This battle took place on the actual Belgium. During this battle, Napoleon was defeated by Britain, under the government of Duke of Wellington.
After this battle, Louis XVIII took power on 1815 Napoleon's defeat. -
