Conniston Massacre
The Coniston massacre, which took place from 14 August to 18 October 1928 near the Coniston cattle station, Northern Territory, Australia and was last known massacre of Indigenous Australians. People of the Warlpiri, Anmatyerre and Kaytetye groups were killed. The massacre occurred in revenge for the death of dingo hunter Frederick Brooks, killed by Aborigines. -

This is when the aboriginal kids were taken from their families and were forced to act like the white man and elimate their aboriginal culture. -

This allowed aboriginals to be included in the census. -
Commonwealth Office of Aboriginal Affairs is established
A Commenwealth Office for the Aboriginals was finnaly created and established on 6th June 1971. -
Self-determination policy
The self-determination policy allowed the aborigines now to have more say in their affairs and more input into the laws and policies that affected their community.
