In 1816 Abolitionist Movement was founded by Robert Finley.
This was was so that African Americans could migrate into the African continent. -
The Missouri Compromise of 1820
In 1820 There was a Missouri Compromise which let Missouri become a slave state. This is when the Abolitionist Movement became even stronger and tried even harder to end slavery. -
1830 Abolitionist Movement
The Abolitionist Movement became stronger and even more powerful, as it became officially emerged by this time. -
Abolitionist Movement 1833
In 1833 Britain abolished slavery saving over 800,000 Africans in the Caribbean and South Africa and even some in Canada.It dismantled many large slave colonies. -
Abolitionist Movement 1837
During 1837 a mob attacked a warehouse in Alton. They attemted to destroy the Abolitionist press materials. When they were doing this attack they killed a news paper editor and also Abolitionist called Elijah Lovejoy. -
Abolitionist Movement 1850
In 1850 they enforced a law meaning that all slaves have to go back to their owners, and all american citizens have to help with capturing them. -
Abolitionist Movement 1854
In 1854, They let people in certain territories to choose if they would like to be pro salves or against them within the borders. This made conflict creating Americas civil war. -
Abolitionist Movement 1856
In 1856, A group of people raided Town Laurence and during this raid john brown decided to raid 5 pro slavery groups, killing them all. -
Abolitionist Movement 1857
In 1857, Dred Scott got denied of having rights to ever having a citizenship and also anyone with African blood. This decision of the american court also denied the 1820 compromise. -
Abolitionist Movement 1859
In 1859, John Brown led 21 men to capture the U.S. arsenal in Virginia. He and all of the people who followed him were seized and convicted of treason. John Brown was then hanged for the crime. -

In 1861, Abraham Lincoln became present and was opposing the idea of slavery, this is when the start of the civil war broke out between the north and the south. -

In 1863, Abraham Lincoln announced that all slaves are going to be freed -
Abolitionist Movement 1865
In the year 1865, Abraham Lincoln enforced a law allowing all slaves to be free of labor and have rights, this also meant that all forms of slavery must be abolished. The Abolitionist Movement slowly disappeared after this event had happened, as they had finally gotten rid of slavery all together.
