William Golding was born in Cornwall, England, to Mildred and Alec Golding. -

Golding started Brasenose College in Oxford. His first two years he studied Science, yet in his third year he switched to the Literature program, which was his true interest. -

He graduated from Brasenose College with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Education. -
First Career
Golfing worked as a writer, actor, and producer at a small theater in London. He had to pay his bills by being a social worker. -

He began working as in English and philosophy at Bishop Wordsworth's School. -
Marriage
In the same year he had gotten married to Ann Brookfield and eventually had two children with her, Judith and David. -
