Truman Signs Peace Treaty ends World War 2
In September of 1951 President Truman signed a peace treaty that ended World War 2. The day he signed this treaty Truman states that he always hoped to make peace with Germany. The war ended 10 years after the war with Nazi Germany in December 11,1941 -

Brown vs. Board was about a case against a young black child by the name of Linda Brown. This case led to a law being established that made segregating schools unconstitutional.

Group of people that believed in anti-materialism. They used a lot of drugs espiscally marijuana they saw it as just being free spirited .Sex was also very common among this group it was a sexual revolution. -
Freedom Rides
Two buses made a trip from Washington D.C to New Orleans. While on the trip the disregarded the segregation laws of "white" bathrooms. After leaving one of their stops in Alabama the bus was firebombed and the passengers of the other bus were attacked by a white mob after they arrived in Alabama.

Intergration of the University of Alabama
Alabama National Guard troops and Governor George Wallace ends his blockade of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and allows two African American students to enroll. The two African American students attempted to desegregate the University of Alabama in June 1963. The governor literally blocked the door of the enrollment office. -
16th Street Baptist Church Bombing
The Baptist Church was located in Birmingham, Alabama. The church was bombed as an act of terrorism by white supremacist of the KKK. In this bombing, 4 young African American girls were killed. -
John F. Kennedy's Assassination
JKF was killed in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963. He was riding in a motorcade while being accompanied by his wife Jacqueline Kennedy. While they were passing the buildings, Harry Lee Oswald fired six shots, 3 piercing the presidents body. JFK was pronounced dead 30 minutes after the shooting.

Apollo 11 was the name of the first spaceflight that took two humans to the Moon. Neil Armstrong, Micheal Collins, and Buzz Aldrin were the first humans to visit the Moon. The launch date for this mission was July 16,1969. -

This scandal was tied to the re-election of Richard Nixon. Richard's administration was caught wiretapping political opponents and stealing secret documents. This led to all of his administration being found guilty and Nixon resigned. -
