    education was limited to women who where taught how to be good house wife's and to keep there elite status as women. any other forms of education was really only available to wealthy boys
    harvered university was founded during this time that only young boys attended.

    in this era education was still not well developed most children got there education at home and from the bible

    the common school started around the same time as the civil war where systems of common schools where organized in the north and western parts of America there where mostly all white boys schools

    the first school for the blind was made in new England called the asylum of the blind where they taught the childrend to refine there other senses like touch n smell
