The Commoners who represented the Third Estate were prevented from entering the place where all estate generals meet and decided to occupy a tennis court as their meeting place where they pledged and signed an oath that they would continue to meet until a new constitution was settled. The fortress of Bastille was stormed by many revolutionaries as an attempt to capture the attention of the Government and demand that the Commoners have more of an impact on the countries decisions. I believe this is significant due to the fact that this showed the Government that the Revolutionaries were adamant on a change and were willing to get violet in order to get their way. -

The Civil Constitution of the Clergy consisted of a complete reworking and supervision of Catholic Churches residing in France. It required things like all Bishops and Clergy having to sign an oath of loyalty which many of them opted to ignore. I believe this is significant due to the fact that this Constitution shows that even among the Clergy there was serious resistance towards the Revolutionaries by choosing not to sign the oath. -
Louis and Marie-Antoinette’s Escape.
Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette attempted to flee from Paris to Varennes which ended up majorly backfiring exposing the unreliability of France's king sending France deeper into a downwards spiral of chaos. I believe this is significant due to the fact that this attempted escape highlighted to the citizens just how inexperienced and fragile Louis XVI was as the government. France declares war against Austria.
With the consent of the Legislative Assembly, the citizens of France were supporting the idea of starting a war against another country to help unite France and hopefully expand the revolution to other European countries. Despite a fragile and disorganised army, France started to gain momentum over time. I believe this is significant due to the fact that it spurred France to come together and create a stronger army. Introduction of the Guillotine.
The use of the Guillotine aided greatly towards France's so-called "Reign of Terror" being utilised as the preferred method of execution for revolutionaries. It consisted of a razor-sharp blade held up by a wooden frame being dropped directly on a person's neck cutting it clean off, thus, killing them. Louis XVI's execution.
Louis XVI was executed via guillotine under the charge of treason on January 21st 1793. He was said to have been in cahoots with the Austrians attempting to create an uprising against the Revolutionaries with the aid of the Austrians. I believe this is significant due to the fact that Louis XVI's death left France slightly vulnerable for a certain period of time which was then ended when Napoleon became the government following Louis's passing away. -

The Republican Calendar which used decimalisation was utilised during the French Revolution for just over a decade in attempts to remove any religious influences from the calendar. The execution of Robespierre.
Maximilien Robespierre was infamous for being executing countless people for the breach of any given rule racking up a death count of approximately 20,000. Many Revolutionary leaders severely disagreed with his actions thus leading Robespierre to an early grave via guillotine. I believe this is significant due to the fact that with the execution of Robespierre, it dampened the severity of the reign of terror with not as many people being executed.
