The Yalta Conference was a conference between the US, represented by Harry Truman, Britain, Winston Churchill, and The Soviet Union,Joseph Stalin. The conference was a discussion to figure out post-war Europe and the division of Germany. -
US refuses to show nuclear secrets to the Soviets
The US had already dropped 2 nucler bombs on Japan. Now the Soviets were asking them how to develop the nuclear weaponary, but the US refused to give it to them because they feared the Soviets would use it on them and the secrets would fall into the wrong hands. -

The Berlin Airlift was a plan by the US to aid Berlin who was isolated form the rest of the world to drop care packages on the Westen Berlin to give them food and supplies. -

The Vietnam War was started in early 1945 when North Vietnam and South Vietnam fought over Communism and Capitalism. North-Communism, South-Captalism. We helped South Vietnam throughout the long lasting war and spent tons of money just to loose the war. -
Cuban Missile Crisis
The Soviets had missiles in cuba aimed at the united states and we obviously did not appreciate that so we put missiles in turkey and greece to counter it. In the end we both took our missiles out of the countries. -
Soviets Invade Afghanistan
As the United States expanded their Capitalist influence further into the middle east the Soviets thought they needed to do something about it, so they pushed out the iran westernized ruler and invaded afghanistan. -
US Olympic Victory
The US hockey team beat the Soviet hockey team in a game that will be remembered forever. The US hokcey team did the unthinkable and beat team Russia giving the United States hope that was lost during the cold war. -
