For our grandparents 60th anniversary, our whole family headed down to the beautiful island of Turks and Caicos for Christmas. It was definately a fantastic week.

    Family Pictures
One part of this week in Turks and Caicos was that we had to take family pictures. There were tons of pictures taken, but it was all in celebration of our grandparents 60th anniversary.

Grandma and Grandpas 60th Anniversary Dinner and Bonfire
For our grandparents 60th Anniversary, the whole family got all dressed up and went out to a fancy restaurant where we were served a special meal. After that, we all headed out to the beach for a roaring bonfire, and good conversation.
  • Christmas Eve

    Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve was different than what we were all used to! Instead of bundling up in a cold house, were all got together in a condo with the nice breeze rolling through. We were then greeted by Carribean Santa.
  • Christmas Day

    Christmas Day
Christmas Day was unusual as well! We all spent the majority of the day laying out on the beach or swimming in the warm water. Most of us forgot it was even Christmas!
  • Gone Fishing

    Gone Fishing
A bunch of us Cousins as well as some of the parents and grandpa took a few hours to do some fishing. We got on a boat and they drove us a ways out, and we cast out our lines. Unfortunately, it was a rather unsuccesful outing.
  • Boxing Day

    Boxing Day
One of the traditions of the culture down in Turks and Caicos is that the day after Christmas, they have a huge festival dowtown. This is complete with parades, food, drinks, and some good shopping!
  • Snorkeling

    Snorkeling
One of the best parts of the vacation was the snorkeling adventure most of the group did. We went way out to the 3rd largest reef in the world, and spent quite some time swimming around looking at all the different sea creatures. After that we went and toured a small island called Iguana Island.
  • Parasailing over the Carribean

    Parasailing over the Carribean
My immediate family wanted to do something together, so we decided we would go parasailing. The boat came and picked us up off the beach and off we went. It was quite a wait while we waited for other groups to go, but it was well worth it. By the time me and my brother got to go, the sun was just setting over the island, and the view was spectacular.
  • One Last Dinner

    One Last Dinner
The last night we were there, we all went out for one last dinner together before we all left the next morning.
  • Island Tour

    Island Tour
A bunch of the women from the group took advantage of this last day to go on an island tour. They went up to the top of the island, and saw all the tourist attractions, as well as eating some unusal food!

    Time to Go Home
After a great and memorable week, it was finally time to go back to cold Massachusetts. But not before our connecting flight from Charlotte got canceled and we had to sleep in an airport!
