    Before the shot clock the game seemed to slow paced and boring to the fans. A 24 second shot clock was introduced in order to make the game more fast paced. Eventually the game of Basketball received more attention and fans.

    The WNBA is Established
    In 1996 after many attempts to create a league for women the NBA established the WNBA. The following year 1997 the first WNBA game was played by New York Liberties against Los Angeles Sparks.
