When Pablo was born he was not breathing. His uncle, a doctor, knew what was happening and saved him from suffocating. He grew up poor with his sister Lola. -

When Pablo was in school he struggled. His worst subject was math. He was constantly daydreaming and fantasizing about art. He got bad grades but did not fail. -
Before and After
When Pablo moved to Barcelona he got into an illustrious art school. The examination of entry was given a one month deadline. He finished in one day. His days of bad grades were over. -
That Crazy Picasso
Picasso was sick of being confined and regular so he broke loose. He broke loose with Braque, one of his best friends. Together they created Cubism, a radical way of describing and interpreting the world around them. -
Casagemas
Casagemas was Picasso's best friend, but deppresion closed around him. Casagemas commited suicide. This showed Pablo that art could be frm happy to devestating. -
Goodbye Great Boat
The iceberg had defeated the Titanic. The world was shocked. Loved ones were lost to all. A wave of horror was spreading. The great boat was no more. -
Father
Pablo's father died 1939 in Barcelona. He was the one who introduced art to Pablo. His father taught him to interpret, evaluate, and create art. -
Mommy
Picasso's mother died in Barcelona. She was the only one who ever gave Pablo love and affection. She taught him all of his life skills. -
The Begining of the Second
Troops were sent from all over the world. Including Spain. Many people were dying. For the second time the world was at war. Hitler did go to Spain but it was not an invasion. Spain was a neutral country. -
The End of the Second
The war was over and the whole world was celebrating. Hitlers reign had ended. Nazi's were gone and fear was replaced with joy and peace. -
The Last Stroke.
At Notre Dame the 91 year old painter died. After he died a portion of his art was sold to the French government to pay off inheritance taxes. The rest of his art is in museams around the world.
