This day was named Black Tuesday after the Wall Street crash. It is the day the depression begin. It brought the roaring twenties to a halt. -
Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act
Increased tariffs on more than 20,000 imported goods to try and increase the money made off of them. -

Was a work relief program for men ages 18-25. It was unskilled labor that helped the conservation and development of rural areas. -
Bonus Army March
A march in Washington, D.C. that consisted of veterans and veterans' families of World War I that were protesting for cash payment. -

Federally funded to provide flood control, electricity, and economic deveopment in the Tennessee Valley. -

This allowed the use of alcohol once again. Since people ended up making their own and things got worse. So they allowed it. -

Employed millions to carry out big public projects and building buildings to give people jobs. -

Funded many things, but some were unemployment and medical trust funds. -

America made weopons for the war which helped out the economy. They later joined the war to fight against Germany because of their wrong doing.
