    The IBM Hard Disk Drive was created in 1990 and was nick named the sawmill. It was the first storage device to use magneto resistive heads and could store 1.5 GB. A modern flash drive usually holds at least 16 GB.

    Microsoft developed Windows 3.0 in 1990. This was the first program with clickable icons for the different applications. This appears to be the blue print for how we interact with applications on our smart phones.
