The storming of he storming of the Bastille
The storming of the Bastille happened July 14, 1789. It was an attach on the Bastille. Revolutionaries wanted Governor de Launay the leader to surrender the Bastille to them. He said no and they broke off into fighting. He had no hope in the situation for it to get better so he ended up surrendering the Bastille. This was important because it was a representation of the monarchy. It was what started the french Revolution and the fall of the monarchy. -
The Tennis Court Oath
The tennis court oath happened June 20, 1789. It was a meeting of the estates. In got moves to an indoor tennis court because there was closure of where they usually met. Declaration of the rights of man and of the citizen articles were made between August 20 to August 26, 1789. It was the constitution or the base of the constitution for many years. The main declaration is that all men are equal and are free in rights. Abolition of Feudalism happened August 4th 1789. The Constituent Assembly abolished the entire feudal system. They revised and made new rules. Women's march on Versailles happened October 5, 1789. They started to revolt in the market place about bread being too much money. As they continued marching more people joined by the end there were thousands. This was important because it gave confidence in the power of the people over the king. -

Royal flight to varennes happened at night on June 20, 1791. The king was trying to find a safe place for his family. They left France but along the way they were caught and he was arrested along with his family. This was important to the french revolution because it showed the kings weakness of his family and his betrayal/untrustworthiness to his country. -
Execution of King Louis XVI
The execution of King Louis XVI happened January 21, 1792. King Louis tried leaving the country. He was a traitor so he was found guilty of treason. A couple days after be got decapitated and driven through the streets of Paris to be shown off. This was important to the french revolution because they killed their king and there was no monarchy anymore because there wasn’t a ruler. -

The French Revolutionary wars started on April 20th 1792 and ended March 25th 1802. The fighting grew throughout the years. France ended up getting more territories from the Italian Peninsula and the Low Countries in Europe to the Louisiana Territory in North America. This is important the the French revolution because this was going on the whole time during the french revolution. -
The reign of terror
The reign of terror happened September 5, 1793 to July 28, 1794. It was when they tried to make terror so invaders wouldn’t come in. They made terror by being over the top with punishments for enemies during the revolution. There was multiple executions happening in Paris. This was important because it was to protect their country to not let in invaders. -
Coup of the 18th Brumaire
Coup of the 18th brumaire happened November 9-10, 1799. It was a coup that overthrew the government. It was called an effective end of the French Revolution. This was an important part of the French revolution because it was a fresh new start to make the government better and make the country stronger.
