The Great Depression
The great depression was a decline in our history. A 3rd of the country was jobless and left homeless. there were no jobs people lost their farms and businesses. There was a lack of food due to no farms and homelessness was at an all time high. This was definitely something we want to forget in our history. -
Relief camps
Relief camps where put in place to give single young men a job to make money and a place to sleep, drink and eat. i think this was a progression because it gave people money and would prevent them from getting in to trouble in big towns. -
On To Ottawa Trek
In 1935, around 1,500 people from relief camps in British Columbia
went on strike and started climbing on trains attempting to get to Ottawa to protest. this is a decline in our history because people where not happy with the government and people where injured
