    0 The Start
This was the start of it all. This is where my memory and life all started, I wouldn't be able to experience all the events that happened in my life without this moment.

The top 3 in our class competed in math challenge. For the district level, we competed against 7 schools and our group came first. Since we won, we got to go to the division level and that alone is a really big achievement. At the end, our teacher brought us all to jollibee as a treat to all our hard work.

    +5 Philippines' Summer Capital
Baguio, a city in the Philippines, also known as the summer capital of the Philippines. Our family decided to visit this place before migrating to Canada. We went horse riding for the first time, we got souvenirs, we went biking, and bumper car riding. We also did sightseeing around Baguio city and enjoyed the weather. Baguio is one of the most beautiful spots and climates in the Philippines, especially during summer.

    +5 Exciting Flight
This was the very first time we rode on a plane, as well as the start of our life here in Canada. While we were still at the airport, I remember one of my aunts giving me and my siblings a necklace to remember her, which I still keep till this day. Fun fact: We rode on Canada airlines!

I remember getting up early to get ready for our first day of school in Canada. When we got to the school, the assistant principal quickly guided us around the whole building. +5 Big Birthday Celebration
7th birthdays in the Philippines are a big deal because it marks the year you're old enough to be held more accountable for your actions and is also the year children usually graduate from preschool. On my 7th birthday, I dressed up as Belle from Beauty and the Beast. There were many foods prepared, the place was full of decorations and countless people arrived, enough to barely fit everyone in our front yard.
  • +4 New Climate

    +4 New Climate
I was looking forward to this the most since it doesn’t snow in the Philippines. I remember going to an ice castle for the first time. We thought it would be cold but not too cold so we ended up only wearing our winter clothes with barely any layers of other clothing. Little did we know, it was going to be 10 times colder than we thought, lesson learned. We also built a lot of memories during the winter and finally felt what it's like to be living in Canada.
  • +5 Family Reunion

    +5 Family Reunion
We had a family reunion in the Philippines and visited many places in Manila, Laguna and Bataan. The decision to travel to the Philippines was really sudden, but we had a lot of fun during our time there. Thankfully, we safely travelled and returned right before the pandemic started.
