Tenochtitlan
Tenochtitlan was a city state on an island called Lake Texcoco, in the Valley of Mexico. It was founded in 1325 and was captured by the Spanish in 1521. Today the ruins of it are in the Central part of Mexico City. -

Montazuma was the fifth Aztec emperor and during his time as emperor the Aztec empire was consolidated. He began in 1398 and ened in 1469. -

Machu Picchu/Tikal
Michu Picchu was built in 1450. It was also know was the "Old Mountain" and was a pre-Columbian Inca site. It is 7,070 feet above sea level and is situated on a mountain ridge above Urbamba Valley in Peru. Tikal I couldn't find a date for, but it is one of the largest archaeological sites od the pre_Columbian Maya civilization. it is located in the archaeological region of Peten Basin. -

Francisco Pizarro
Francisco Pizarro was a Spanish conquistador and he conquered the Incan Empire. He was also the founder of Lima, which is now the modern day capital of Peru. He died on June 26, 1541. -

Bartolome de Los Casas was a 16th Century Spanish Dominican priest. He was a writer and the first resident Bishop of Chiapas. He died on July 18, 1566. -

Cortes was a Spanish conquistador that defeated the Aztecs and he also conqured Mexico. Cortes on born in 1485 and died on December 2nd, 1547. -

Columbian Exchange/Columbus
The Columbian Exchange was an exchange of animals, plants and ideas. This exchange was between the Eastern and Western hemishpere. (could just find year) This was the same year that Columbus descovered the continets in the Western Hemsphere. Columbus was a navigator, explorer. He was born in 1451 and died on May 20th, 1506. -

La Noche Triste
La Noche Tristie was an important part during the Spanish conquest of Mexico. It was where Hernan Cortes conquest of the Aztec Empire was almost halted in the Mexica capital at Tenochtitlan. He barely made it out by night. -
Toussaint Louverture
Toussaint Louverture was the leader of the Haitian Revolution.He led the enslaved blacks to getting independce over French colonizers and for abolished slavary and secured "native" control over the colony. He died on April 7th, 1803. -
Simon Bolivar
Simon Bolivar was the Venezuelan political leader. He played a very important part in Latin America's sucess o gaining independence from Spain. He died on December 17th, 1830.
