Question
Can details be noticed more efficiently when using an opaque light such as a flashlight? -
Step 1
Step One:
Find a partner and obtain some pink sticky ntes and a flashlight from your teacher. Search the room for clues ( scratches, scuffs, etc.) with the lights in the room ON. Place a pink sticky note on each clue and record it in your notebook. -
Step 2
Step Two:
Next, turn off all the lights in the room and shut the curtains or the blinds. Search the room for clues again, using a flashlight. This time, use blue sticky notes. Do not put sticky notes on clues that already have a pink not on them. Record your clues. -
Step 3
Record your observations. Take note of the details that you noticed when you used opaque lighting (the flashlight.) as compared to what you saw when the room was bright. -
Conclusion
We concluded that details can be better noticed when opaque lighting is used in comparison to normal lighting.
