Planning: Plane Tickets
Plane Tickets After I have my passport, I can get my plane tickets. Ordering from carecompare.com, I can get tickets from Oklahoma City to Orlando Florida for $258 on Midwest Airlines. Then I purchase my tickets in advance to Rome, Italy and back. According to tripadvisor.com, this will cost around $1430 on Continental Airlines. From my $2765, I now have $1312 total to spend on my trip. -
Arrive at Florida
Finally, I arrive at Orlando Internation Airport. After I get my luggage, I meet my cousin Megan and her husband Mike in the airport's lobby. After meeting them, we walk to their car and head to their house. They live in a nice neighborhood division where most of the houses look the same, right outside of Orlando. Once we get to their house, I relax and talk to them for a bit. I play with their baby, whos name is Will, and their two dogs. We have a good time hanging out and eating dinner. -
Plane Ride to Florida
Today is the day I start my trip. I make sure to pack my passport and plane tickets, and also a swim suit, cause I'm headed to Florida! I leave the house around six in the morning and head to Oklahoma City. I stop at Braums for a little breakfast, but then I reach Will Rogers World Airport. At eight o' clock I board my plane and at eight-thirty we take off. The flight takes about five hours, and the whole time I'm listening to my iPod or dozing off. -

To Florida
The reason I chose Florida is because I used to live in the Florida Keys. Before I moved, which was about four years ago. -
To the Beach
The next day, we plan to go to the beach. An hour east of Orlando is Cocoa Beach, a wonderful place with big waves and lots of sun. We bring a lounge seats and umbrellas, and a basket of food for lunch. As soon as we get there, I go out to the water and swim. To me, that is the best part of the beach, just floating around in the cool water as the sun beats down on me. That is how I could spend a whole day, at the beach enjoying myself. -
Orlando to Miami
Orlando to Miami
The next day after the beach, I have to say good bye to Megan and Mike. I thank them for everything and I wish I could stay longer, but they have work to do.
There are many shuttles from Orlando to Miami, so this is how I get to Miami. It will cost about $50 and is about a 4 hour drive from Orlando to Miami. -
Miami
I will get dropped off at Miami Internation Airport. There, I can get a taxi to anywhere I want. My favorite place to go in Miami was Dolphin Mall. It is a shopping mall, but just being there is enjoyable in itself. I do buy an English to Italian dictionary, and eat at the food court. Then at six o' clock in the evening, I take another taxi to Miami International Airport and get ready for the long 18 hour flight to Italy. -

First Day in Rome
Hilton Hotel
While on the plane, I try to sleep as much as possible, but when I finally get to the Leonardo de Vinci Airport, at noon, I'm exhausted. I get on the free shuttle and head to the Hilton Rome Hotel. This hotel cost about 300 Euros a night. After a couple hours of rest, I explore outside of my hotel and look at some of the buildings. I get a feel for Rome before heading back to my hotel. -
Period: to
To Italy
I chose Italy because I have just always been interested in it. I mainly want to visit some of its historical landmarks and museums. -
More of Rome
Rome Attractions
Today I explore Rome. Just walking down a street is amazing. I make sure to go to the most talked about sights like the Colosseum and the Pantheon, and also to The Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museums in Vatican City. I've saved about 100 Euro for entering these places and possible souvenirs. -
Leaving
I wish I could stay longer, but I barley have enough for the plane tickets back home. I say goodbye to Rome and head back to Oklahoma City, on Continental Airlines with less then $20 left
after I buy the tickets. I get back to my car and head for home. -
