Fred Robert Lee Lewallen 81, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2007, in Cape Girardeau. He was born in Anniston, Mo., Sept. 9, 1925. His family moved to Chaffee, Mo., in 1935. His late father, Fred Lee Lewallen, was superintendent of schools in Chaffee from 1935 to 1962, and his late mother, Chilton Ruth Lewallen, was a grade school teacher until 1962.
